Media Marketing Assistant Kickstarter position

Ruddy Nice is looking for a Media & Marketing Trainee to take to the next level.

All we want is the right attitude, energy and willingness to learn.

An eye for detail, and an interest in art and design will be important.

Based in or around Exeter, this post will be a mixture of working from home and on location/office.

An opportunity to shape your career as a marketing, PR, Events and social media intern.

The Media & Marketing Assistant will train in all aspects of marketing creation, social media and campaign planning and delivery. An exciting role for someone who wants to develop their skills and knowledge working with military industry clients, be part of an enthusiastic, friendly team in a business that continues to grow and evolve

Must be able to use MS Word, Outlook/Email,

Have a social media presence – any channel
English GCSE Grade C/Level 4

Willingness to learn.

Presentable and professional for client liaison and presentations.

BONUS SKILLS: Awareness or experience with the Armed Forces, either through being part of a Military family, in Cadet Corps or just a passion for tanks! (We can teach this)

Languages – either learned or native, a huge bonus as we work with an international audience and clients

Familiarity with platforms LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

MS Excel, MS Powerpoint.

Basic image editing skills are beneficial but not essential.

Web design knowledge for the purpose of planning content.

Willingness to travel (with team initially, later independently).

Each of the Kickstart employees will have an allocated mentor who will be focused on bringing that employee into meetings regularly, helping them understand everything from setting meeting agendas, meeting preparation and report delivery.

Executive Assistant Kickstarter position

We have a position as an Executive Assistant to our CEO, who runs the Defence, Simulation, Education and Training (www.dset.co.uk) event as well as running Ruddy Nice Ltd. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about organising!

You can have any background, education or qualification level – what matters is that you are enthusiastic about learning, happy to be posting to social media, be in an environment that includes the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and the industries relating to them.

Working to our CEO, you will be trained and tasked in a variety of ways, organising the calendar, booking meetings, taking parcels for posting, arranging travel, researching best options for client deliverables, reminding (nagging!) the CEO about commitments, proof reading documents for mistakes, taking phone calls and messages, learning office management.

Supporting us at our DSET event, live in Bristol, in March 2022.
There will be a lot of work to do remotely, so being able to work from home is a must, you will have daily contact with your mentor, main HQ is in Salisbury and some travel to meetings around the UK. Possible future international travel to events and shows – clothing allowance included.

Working to our wonderful Operations Director, you will be tasked in setting up our virtual platform, running virtual events, learning how to operate in a hybrid environment and much more.

Working to our wonderful Education Officer, you will be tasked in writing supporting bid documents, speaking to students at universities from all over the world and supporting us at our DSET event, live in Bristol in March 2022.
